Dolmen de la Graou
The Dolmen de la Graou (also Dolmen de la Grau ) is located a few dozen meters from the intersection of the road to Saint-Cézaire-Cabris and the entrance to the Saint-Cézaire cave in a light forest next to a factory in Saint-Cézaire-sur -Siagne in the Alpes-Maritimes department in France . The dolmen was discovered by Bourguignat in 1866. In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).
The north-south oriented dolmen simple lies in the middle of a partially preserved cairn with a diameter of about 16 m. It consists of a trapezoidal chamber about 1.9 m long and 1.5 m maximum width, of orthostats in the east, south and north and two front plates (1.85 m and 1.35 m long) on both sides of the approximately 1.15 m m wide access. In front of it are the low remains of a 2.15 m long, roughly round corridor section.
The dolmen has been classified as a monument historique since 1889 .
There are also the megalithic complexes of Mauvans sud , the Dolmen de Lou Serre Dinguille , the Dolmen of Colbas 1 + 2 and the Dolmen des Puades .
