The Dolmen de la Pierre Euberte (also called Dolmen la Pierre Cuberte or Dolmen de la Valette) is a dolmen of the angevin type (also called Loire type) with a front portal. In France, dolmen is the generic term for megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The Dolmen de la Pierre Euberte is located on a hill in a hedge near the hamlet of La Vallette, south of Dun-le-Palestel , near Guéret in the Val de Creuse, in the Creuse department in France .

The almost intact dolmen consists of a chamber that is closed on all sides. It is 2.75 m long, 1.75 m high and covered with two cap stones. The dolmen has been a monument historique since 1980 .

Remarks

  1. The dolmen angevin is an allée couverte of the Loire type with a (retracted) trilith portal as access, like the dolmen de la Pierre Folle in Bournand.
