Giverzac dolmen

The dolmen of Giverzac is located east of the hamlet Ravette le Long and east of Domme in the far east of the Dordogne department in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The dolmen simple was mentioned in 1818 by François Jouannet (1765-1845). It consists of a sandstone slab that rests as a capstone on a 1.36 m long, 1.1 m wide and 0.47 m high orthostat and a 0.55 m long, 0.35 m wide and 0.36 m high fragment . The third plate visible behind it, 1.34 m long and 1.03 m high, is probably the former end plate. The dolmen was improperly put together after the collapse.

The Giverzac dolmen was registered as a Monument historique in 1962 .
