The Dolmen of Rouffignac is located near the villages Rouffignac and Le Valette in the municipality Javerdat in Haute-Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The simple dolmen ( French dolmen simple ) has three upright supporting stones, on which about one meter above the ground a capstone of about 2.5 × 2.5 meters rests, which has several bowls ( French cupules ) about 30 mm in diameter.

To the east stands the Arnac menhir , which is around 2.5 m high and is completely covered with bowls.
