Menhir of Arnac

The menhir of Arnac ( French Menhir d'Arnac ; also called Pierre à Cupules ) stands west of the hamlet of Arnac and west of Cieux , in the west of the Haute-Vienne department in France .

The approximately 2.5 m high menhir is a bowl stone . This is clearly visible on its southeast side, where rows of holes with a diameter of 35 mm run along the edge. A flat engraving on the south side may show checkerboard markings and bowls running along the edges. On the north side the whole stone is covered with more than 100 bowls. The menhir has been a listed building since 1987.

The 5.1 m high menhir of Ceinturat stands about 1600 m to the northwest. The Boscartus Rocking Stone and the Rocher des Fées Abri are located in the Bois du Rat forest of Cieux.
