The Rougié dolmen is a megalithic complex in the Causses du Quercy Regional Nature Park ( French Parc naturel régional des Causses du Quercy ) south of the D 802 department road near Livernon in the Lot department in southern France . It is only about 100 m away from the more famous and larger Dolmen de la Pierre Martine . In France, dolmen is the generic term for megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).
The Rougié Dolmen is about three meters long with a capstone broken in two. The east-facing chamber has a few larger bearing stones in situ at the sides and at the end (here tilted) .
About 500 m south of the dolmen is the quarry from which the stones of the dolmen as well as those of the nearby Dolmen de la Pierre Martine come.
