Livernon is a French commune with 680 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lot department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Figeac and the canton of Lacapelle-Marival .
geography
The municipality is located around 15 kilometers west of Figeac , in the Causses du Quercy Regional Nature Park . Neighboring municipalities to Livernon are:
- Sonac in the north,
- Assier in the northeast,
- Reyrevignes in the east,
- Corn in the southeast,
- Grèzes in the south,
- Espédaillac to the west and
- Durbans in the northwest.
Livernon is located on the eastern foothills of the limestone - plateau Causse de Gramat with its distinctive karst formations . There is hardly any surface water in the municipality itself, as these all run underground and only come to the surface a few kilometers further east. The Célé River runs through the neighboring municipalities to the south .

The place is accessed from the departmental roads D802 and D653, which intersect in the municipality. The Aerodrome Figeac-Livernon airfield is, regardless of its name, in the neighboring municipality of Durbans.
