Puybrun ( Occitan : Pègbrun ) is a French commune with 1,005 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lot department in the Occitania region (until 2015 Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Figeac and the municipality of Causses et Vallée de la Dordogne . The inhabitants are called Puybrunais .

geography

Puybrun is located about 35 kilometers north-northwest of Figeac on the southwestern edge of the Massif Central . Neighboring communities are Bilhac in the north and northwest, Liourdres in the north and northeast, Girac in the east and Tauriac in the south and west.
