Quissac is a French commune with 112 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lot department in the Occitanie region (until 2015 Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Figeac and to the municipal association Grand-Figeac, founded in 2017 .

geography

Quissac is located in the middle of the Causses du Quercy Regional Nature Park , about 25 kilometers west of Figeac . Forests and stony dry grassland dominate the 25.17 km² large municipal area, which has no above-ground watercourses due to the calcareous soils. The districts of Chayre, Coursac, Le Mas and Lespinasse belong to the municipality. Quissac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Durbans in the north, Espédaillac in the east, Blars in the south, Sénaillac-Lauzès in the south-west, Caniac-du-Causse in the west and Cœur de Causse in the north-west.
