Dominic Hanselmann

Dominic Hanselmann (born October 3, 1986 ) is a former German football player .

career

Hanselmann, son of the former national coach Martin Hanselmann , comes from the youth department of the Franken Knights . In 2006 he left Rothenburg and joined the Dresden Monarchs in the top German division, the GFL . In the 2007 season, the wide receiver was in the service of the Cologne Falcons  (also GFL) and in 2008 moved within the league to the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes . With the North Germans he was under the direction of head coach Kent Anderson at the end of September 2008 in the final of the German championship, but lost there against the Braunschweig Lions . Braunschweig became his new team in 2009, where he stayed for a year and then joined the second division team Düsseldorf Panther, which his father trained . The 1.80 meter tall player managed to return to the GFL with the Rhinelander.

In the 2013 and 2014 playing years, Hanselmann was again a member of the Braunschweig Lions, with whom he won the German championship twice and in 2014 the Eurobowl  , but lost to Berlin. For the 2015 season, Hanselmann moved to the Hamburg Huskies . There he played in the GFL under head coach André Schleemann . In the 2016 game year, Hanselmann strengthened the Hamburg team and was now used in defense.

National team

In 2010 and 2014 Hanselmann was European champion with the German national team. In 2010, his achievements earned him a place in the top selection of the tournament. At the 2007 World Cup, he took third place with Germany.
