Dominic Lüthard (* 1983 ) was the chairman of the right-wing extremist National Orientated Swiss Party (PNOS) until October 2019.

Lüthard was the singer and co-founder of the right-wing extremist band Indexed . The band is known for racist lyrics and appearances within the Blood and Honor movement.

Political career

Lüthard was one of the founders of the Helvetic Youth (HJ) in July 2004 . Today this group is considered to be the PNOS 'junior organization.

In the 1990s, Lüthard said he was committed to animal welfare , for example against the lifting of the slaughter ban . Later he was a member of the Freedom Party, which he left when it redefined itself as the “auto party”. He became a member of the SVP , for which he had run for the Grand Council. The party later expelled him.

He has been involved in PNOS since 2007.

On October 20, 2019, Dominic Lüthard resigned from his post as party president after seven years. Florian Gerber, previously deputy party president, was elected as the new party president.

International contacts

Lüthard performed with Indexed in Verona in September 2009 and in Lyon in September 2008 in memory of Ian Stuart , the founder of Blood and Honor .

Legal proceedings

In 2002 Lüthard was convicted of breach of the peace and bodily harm . The reason was a riot in front of the Langenthal hospital, in this connection, according to Blick , he is said to have hit the Turks and was sentenced to eight days in prison.

In autumn 2008 he described the former Miss Switzerland Whitney Toyloy as an "ulcer", for which he was convicted in February 2009 with a fine of 15 daily rates of 110 francs, a fine of 500 francs and procedural costs of 300 francs. In April Lüthard was acquitted of the allegations.

In the voting campaign for the minaret initiative in 2010, Lüthard wiped paper minarets off a Swiss flag with a broom. He was accused of alluding to a 1933 National Front election poster . In the first instance, Lüthard was acquitted in a court in Burgdorf. The Bernese Higher Court confirmed this judgment in a second instance.

Lüthard was acquitted in 2014 of the charge that he had violated the honor of the lawyer of the Islamic community Langenthal. He had described the lawyer as a "do-gooder" and "know-it-all".
