Dominic Lester
Dominic Lester is a sound engineer .
Life
Lester began his career in the late 1980s and made his feature film debut with Mike Newell's drama Silent Voices . As a result, he worked on numerous film adaptations , including Stormy Passion , What Was Left of the Day and Storm in the Willows . He was involved in several films based on the works of William Shakespeare , such as Henry V , Othello and Hamlet .
1999 he was for Shakespeare in Love , together with Robin O'Donoghue and Peter Glossop for the Oscar in the category Best Sound nominated. In the same year the three, together with John Downer , were nominated for Shakespeare in Love for the BAFTA Film Award in the category Best Sound . Both prizes that year went to Steven Spielberg's war film Saving Private Ryan .
2000 Lester retired from the film business.
