Dominic Rau (born November 29, 1990 in Schlema ) is a German soccer player . He plays for Hessen Dreieich .
Career
Rau played for FC Erzgebirge Aue from 1995 to 2014 from the age of four and went through all of the club's junior teams. From 2009 he was mainly used in the reserve team in the Oberliga Nordost . On May 15, 2011 (34th matchday of the 2010/11 season ) he was substituted on in the 86th minute for the first time in the professional team. He played his first games in the Auer professional team (2nd division) from the start in March 2012 under coach Karsten Baumann .
For the 2014/15 season Rau moved to Halleschen FC on a free transfer and signed a two-year contract. There he appeared in 48 games in the 3rd division and also played in the Saxony-Anhalt Cup and the DFB Cup. At the end of the two years, he moved to the Regionalliga Süd-West for the 2016/17 season free of charge and signed a two-year contract with 1. FC Saarbrücken . After he was no longer used there in the 2017/18 season due to a shoulder injury , he moved within the league to SC Hessen Dreieich in August 2018 .
In spring 2016, Rau successfully completed a distance learning course to become a state-recognized sports business economist.
