Dominicus Bassus

Dominicus Bassus (* 1643 in Peschlau / Poschiavo , Canton of Graubünden ; † August 15, 1704 in Ingolstadt ; also Dominik Bass and Dominicus von Sandersdorf, Eggersberg and Mendorf ) was a Swiss - German lawyer .

Life

He was promoted to doctorate at the University of Ingolstadt in 1668. Six years later, in 1674, he was appointed full professor of law there. Bassus was later appointed to the Bavarian Council. He died during the siege of Ingolstadt by Johann Karl von Thüngen in the War of the Spanish Succession .
