Dominik Bahiense de Mello (born February 15, 1985 in Bonn , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a former German basketball player with Brazilian ancestors.

The 1.91 m tall point guard started his sporting career with the SOBA Dragons Rhöndorf and in 2005 moved to the basketball league for the Skyliners Frankfurt . There he was able to establish himself as a regular player and also received his first invitations to the national team. For the 2011/2012 season, Bahiense de Mello switched to EWE Baskets Oldenburg . Bahiense de Mello ran for Oldenburg until 2014. After his contract expired, he left EWE Baskets. He moved within the league and joined promoted BG Göttingen . After a year, however, he left the BG Göttingen again and ended his career. Bahiense de Mello, who had started studying business administration during his basketball career, started working as a professional player for a company in Göttingen in the field after his retirement.

From 2010 he was one of three board members at the players' association SP.IN , which represents the interests of German professional basketball players . He is also represented here on the BBL Advisory Board, which particularly cares about the concerns of the BBL players.
