Dominik Rodinger (born August 17, 1987 in Prague ) is a Czech football player in the goalkeeping position .

Career

Rodinger began playing football at the Prague club FSC Libuš, initially as a goalkeeper. After two years he switched to the position of defender and only returned to goal at the age of ten. He moved to Bohemians Prague , where he went through the youth teams. Even as an A-youth he got his first job in the professional field, already at the successor club Bohemians 1905 Prague .

In the second division season 2004/05 he made his debut in a 3: 3 against Tatran Prachatice at the age of 17 years, two months and 21 days as the youngest goalkeeper of all time in the dress of the Bohemians. After the club went bankrupt, the young goalkeeper moved to FK Teplice , in summer 2005 to SC Xaverov .

In September 2006 Rodinger was committed by the Slovak second division club Zemplín Michalovce . He had a serious car accident in February 2007 and was hospitalized for several weeks. After his return to the field, he won a regular place in the goal of Michalovce and made the coach of the Slovak U21 national team Jozef Barmoš attention through his good performances at the beginning of the 2007/08 season . Rodinger refused, also because he was observed at the time by the coach of the Czech U21 team Vítězslav Lavička . Finally Lavička called the goalkeeper for the test match on February 6, 2008 against FC Istres in the junior selection, Rodinger was used in the second half.

In early February 2008 Rodinger was signed by the Slovak first division club ŠK Slovan Bratislava , with whom he signed a three and a half year contract. At the end of February 2010, Rodinger moved on loan to the Czech first division club FK Bohemians Prague .
