Dominique Andrey (born August 1, 1955 in Freiburg im Üechtland ) is a Swiss professional officer ( corps commander ) and military advisor to Federal Councilor Guy Parmelin .

biography

Andrey studied technical sciences at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne . He is a graduate civil engineer and doctor ès sciences techniques.

In 1987 he joined the instruction corps of the fortress troops , where he was employed as a unit instructor . This was followed in 1996 as commander of the fortress artillery recruiting schools in Sion , visiting the Paris Collège interarmée de défense , working in the planning group of the general staff of the planning team of the Army XXI , from 2000 as commander of the fortress officers school in Saint-Maurice , as a speaker Army with the Chief of the Army in the Federal Department of Defense, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS) and from 2004 to 2005 as Chief of the Army Staff.

In January 2006, he was promoted to brigadier and served as chief of personnel in the army (J1) in the command staff of the army. Andrey is married and has two children.
