Military awards and decorations of Switzerland

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Switzerland does not have a national honor system. In Article 12 of the Swiss Constitution of 1848 , a ban on the recognition of honors and titles by Swiss citizens was enshrined.
There is no specific ban on titles and medals in the current Swiss constitution, but there is a law that covers the ban previously covered by Article 12.

The Swiss military maintains a system of awards that recognize the length of service, training, sport and participation in the mission.
