history

When consumer goods such as coffee and cocoa were rare and almost unaffordable in 1929 , the director of the Neuchâtel chocolate factory Suchard looked for alternatives. He found what he was looking for in Krakow , where the company's Polish subsidiary produced a juicy chewy candy under license . The director acquired the license for Switzerland, convinced the board of directors and the product was launched on the Swiss market as early as 1931.

Less than 15 years later, the sweets were exported to South America , Africa and Asia , and since 1960 with great success to other European countries.
