Dominique Gauthier (cook)

Dominique Gauthier (born February 5, 1967 ) is a French chef who cooks in Geneva .

Career

After training from 1982 to 1985 in the "Apprentissage" restaurant in the "Hôtel de France" in Antibes (one Michelin star ), he switched to the restaurant "La bonne Auberge" with Jo Rostand (two Michelin stars) and in 1986 to the restaurant "Fernand Point "(three Michelin stars) under Guy Thivard in Vienne . From 1988 to 1990 he cooked at Georges Blanc in Vonnas (three Michelin stars).

Gauthier has been cooking in the "Le Chat-Botté" restaurant in the " Beau-Rivage " hotel in Geneva since 1992 , first as Richard Cressac's right-hand man, and since 2001 as head chef. In 2009 he was named "Chef of the Year" by Gault Millau Switzerland.

Gauthier is married and has two children.
