Don Bosco Church

The Linz-Don Bosco parish church is located in the Linz district of Lustenau in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church Don Bosco belongs to the dean's office in Linz-Mitte in the diocese of Linz . The church is a listed building .

history

The church and the monastery of the Salesians of Don Bosco in the Franckviertel of Linz was built between 1927 and 1928 by master builder Matthäus Schlager . In 1939 the parish exposition was established. After the church was severely destroyed by bombing in 1944, the building was rebuilt in an expanded form from 1946 to 1947 according to plans by Adolf Litschel and consecrated in 1947 by Bishop Josephus Calasanz Fließer Maria, Hilfe der Christisten and made a parish.

Most of the reliefs and figures inside the church were made by the sculptor Hans Schmidinger . The organ was built in 1953 by the Mauracher brothers .
