Don Alt

Don D. Alt (born December 15, 1916 in St. Joseph , Missouri , † August 18, 1988 in Las Cruces , New Mexico ) was an American entrepreneur and member of the House of Representatives from Iowa .

Career

Alt attended Drake University and Iowa State University . Alt was stationed in Europe during World War II, attained the rank of Captain, and became Vice President of Home Federal Savings and Loan after the war . As a Republican , Alt served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1969 to 1973.

Alt was married and had two daughters and a son. Alt was a member of the Kiwanis and the American Legion , among others . In 1985 he moved to Las Cruces.
