Don DaGradi
Don DaGradi (born 1911 in New York City , † August 4, 1991 in Friday Harbor , Washington ) was an American screenwriter .
Life
DaGradi worked for Walt Disney Studios from the 1950s through the 1970s . Among other things, he wrote the scripts for Lady and the Tramp (1955), Mary Poppins (1964) and The daredevil witch in her flying bed (1971). DaGradi was nominated for an Oscar in 1964 for the film Mary Poppins in the category “Best Script from a Literary Original” .
In 1991 DaGradi was officially declared a Disney Legend .
