Don Novello

Don Novello (born January 1, 1943 in Lorain , Ohio ) is an American actor , screenwriter and film producer .

Life

Don Novello was born to Augustine Novello, a physicist, and Eleanor Finnerty. From 1959 to 1960 he attended Lorain High School, in 1964 he graduated from the University of Dayton .

Novello starred in the television series Saturday Night Live from 1978 to 1986 , in which he also wrote several episodes. He also produced and wrote the comedy series SCTV Network 90 in 1982 . In addition to his appearances on television, Novello was also seen in a number of well-known films, such as The Godfather - Part III (1990), Jack (1996) or Twixt (2011).

His brother Joe Novello works as a psychologist .

Awards

Novello has been nominated five times for an Emmy Award for Best Screenwriter. 1977 for Van Dyke and Company , 1978, 1979 and 1980 respectively for Saturday Night Live and 1982 for SCTV Network 90 . He also received an Emmy nomination for Best Comedy Show on SCTV Network 90 in 1982 and 1983 .
