Donat Blum

Donat Blum (* 1986 in Schaffhausen , Switzerland ) is a Swiss writer .

Life

Donat Blum studied interreligious studies at the University of Bern and literary writing from 2011 to 2015 at the Swiss Literature Institute in Biel and at the German Literature Institute Leipzig (DLL) . He was co-president of the Queersicht film festival and is the initiator and co-editor of the first queer literary magazine in the German-speaking region, Glitter - The Gala of literary magazines . In 2016 he was a scholarship holder of the Prosa Authors' Workshop at the Literary Colloquium Berlin (LCB) . In 2018 his debut novel Opoe was published by Ullstein five .

Donat Blum is co-organizer of the “Workshop Talks Carpet” at the Literaturhaus Zürich as well as initiator and moderator of the literary discussion and networking events “Scriptor” at the Solothurn Literature Days .

Works

Donat Blum's works include a novel , short stories , essays and reports. In 2015 he received a grant from the city and canton of Schaffhausen for the manuscript for his debut novel Opoe . In 2016 he was invited to the Prosa authors' workshop at the Berlin Literary Colloquium with the text.
