Donell Jones (born May 22, 1973 in Chicago ) is an American rhythm'n'blues singer, songwriter and producer. His best known hits are "U Know What's Up", "Where I Wanna Be" and "Knocks Me Off My Feet".

biography

Donell is the son of a pastor and grew up in Chicago. In 1996 he signed a contract with LaFace Records and released his debut album My Heart . In 1999 he established himself as an R&B star with his second album Where I Wanna Be , with hits like U Know What's Up and Shorty Got Her Eyes on Me . U Know What's Up (feat. Left Eye ) is Jones' most successful single to date. The song made it to No. 1 on the Hot R & B / Hip-Hop Songs of Billboard forex charts in the Billboard Hot 100 , the song peaked at # 7 in 2002 brought him his third excellent with gold album Life Goes On in the market , this included songs like You Know That I Love You and Put Me Down . Four years later, in 2006, he produced his fourth album Journey of a Gemini , which, however, had only moderate success.

Jones is not married and has four children with his former partner.
