Denis Wladimirowitsch Chlystow ( Russian Денис Владимирович Хлыстов ; born July 4, 1979 in Ufa , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who was last under contract with Ak Bars Kazan in the Continental Hockey League .

Career

Denis Chlystow began his career as a hockey player with Novoil Ufa , the second team of Salawat Julajew Ufa , for which he was active in the Pervaya League , the third Russian league, in the 1998/99 season . In 1999 he was accepted into the first team of Salawat Yulayev Ufa, for which he played the following seven years in the Russian Super League . He also received further inserts for the second team in the Pervaya League.

After Chlystow had played for Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk exclusively in the super league from 2006 to 2008 , he received a contract with HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk from the newly founded Continental Hockey League , for which he played in all 56 games in the main round, as well as before the 2008/09 season was on the ice in all twelve playoff games. The attacker got a total of 19 scorer points, including seven goals. With his team he failed only in the semifinals against Lokomotive Yaroslavl . Until the end of the 2011/12 season Chlystow was under contract with Metallurg, before he was obliged in May 2012 for three years by his hometown club Salawat Yulayev Ufa. At Salawat he was a team captain between 2013 and 2014 and played over 240 KHL games for his home club. Following the 2015/16 season, Chlystow moved to HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk , before moving to Ak Bars Kazan in December 2016 .
