Dongning (Mudanjiang)
Dongning ( Chinese 东 宁 市 , Pinyin Dōngníng Shì ) is a county-level city in the administrative area of the district-free city of Mudanjiang in the southeast of Heilongjiang Province in the People's Republic of China . The city emerged in 2015 from the Dongning district of the same name. It has an area of 7,368 km² and has 210,000 inhabitants. The main town is the large community of Dongning (东 宁 镇) just a few kilometers from the Russian border. The Suifen He ( 绥芬河 ) River flows through Dongning.
The Wupaishan -Stätte ( Wupai shan chengzhi五排山城址) of the city from the Warring States Period to Han Dynasty and the Dongning-Fort Japanese invading troops ( Qin Hua Rijun dongbei yaosai侵华日军东北要塞) standing on since 2006 List of monuments of the People's Republic of China .
