Dongning (Mudanjiang)

Dongning ( Chinese  东 宁 市 , Pinyin Dōngníng Shì ) is a county-level city in the administrative area of ​​the district-free city of Mudanjiang in the southeast of Heilongjiang Province in the People's Republic of China . The city emerged in 2015 from the Dongning district of the same name. It has an area of ​​7,368 km² and has 210,000 inhabitants. The main town is the large community of Dongning (东 宁 镇) just a few kilometers from the Russian border. The Suifen He ( 绥芬河 ) River flows through Dongning.
