Ning'an

The city of Ning'an ( 宁安市 , Níng'ān Shì ) is an independent city in the prefecture -level city of Mudanjiang in the southeast of Heilongjiang Province in the People's Republic of China . It has an area of ​​7,856 km² and has a population of 440,000 (2004).

The site of Shangjing Longquanfu , the Shangjing capital of the Bohai Empire ( Balhae ) ( Bohaiguo Shangjing Longquanfu yizhi 渤海 国 上京 龙泉 府 遗址 ), has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (1-158) since 1961 . It is located in Bohai Municipality .

Administrative structure
