Donn Pearce
Donn Pearce (* 1928 in Croydon , Pennsylvania ) is an American book author and journalist .
Life
Prior to writing, Pearce was a member of the Merchant Navy , hired as a safe breaker, and was eventually convicted. His debut novel was filmed in 1967 as The Unyielding . Donn was involved as a screenwriter for the first time and once. Together with Frank Pierson , he was nominated for an Oscar in the category best adapted screenplay for this work in 1968 . Further book publications followed. In the 1970s and 1980s he worked as a freelance journalist.
