Donna-Kay Danielle Henry (born November 10, 1990 in Kingston ) is a Jamaican national soccer player.
Life
Henry was in Kingston was born in Jamaica, but grew up in Jamaica Village in New York on. During this time she attended Roosevelt High School on Roosevelt Island in New York City from 2004 to 2008 . She then enrolled at Chattanooga State University in the fall of 2008 . In the summer of 2011, she studied as an exchange student in France for six months at the renowned University of Compiègne before returning to the University of Chattanooga for her degree.
Career
In the club
Henry started her active football career with the Elmont Ruby Roses, a team from the Elmont Youth Soccer Club. This was followed by positions for Rosedale and Elmont SC in the NY Club Soccer League and for the JIGS Soccer Academy. In her school days, Henry was on the ball for Roosevelt High's Women Soccer Team, the Roosevelt Rough Riders. In her senior year of high school, she moved to the Auburndale Strikers and played for the U-18s during her high school vacation. Team. After graduating from high school in the spring of 2008, she played six months for the New York Magics in the USL W-League before she received a scholarship at the University of Chattanooga in the fall of 2008 . From then on, Henry played for the university's women soccer team, the Chattanooga Mocs, and now played at club level for the Brooklyn Knights . At the Knights she was a top performer and the United States Soccer Federation appointed her to the Super 20 League All Star Team in August 2009. She then returned to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and played the 2010 season again only for women soccer Team of the Mocs. In spring 2011, Henry was drafted by the Buffalo Flash and should play for the team in the WPSL. Shortly before the start of the season, however, the 2011 season was canceled and she returned to New York Magic. Henry did not make her professional debut until a year later, under the club now renamed Western New York Flash . After three years for the Flash, she left the USA and, on the advice of her national team colleague Nicole McClure, moved to Switzerland, to the then second division club FC Neunkirch .

Henry has been part of the Jamaican women's national soccer team since 2009, alongside her former club mate Nicole McClure .
