Dons is a village in the Danish municipality of Kolding in the Syddanmark region . It is located seven kilometers north of Kolding on the Donsaa , which forms the Donssee .
During the Schleswig-Holstein uprising (1848-1851) on May 7, 1849 the Prussians fought successfully against the Danes here .
