Doomed ('doomed') is a German Doom Metal project founded in 2011 by Pierre Laube from Zwickau .
history
Founded in 2011 by head and singer Pierre Laube, initially as a one-man project, Doomed is musically classified in the genres of Death Metal and Doom Metal, but also has some progressive traits . At the end of 2012 Laube hired guest musicians, with whom he has since performed Doomed live. In 2017 he opened the project, so that the influences of the active live musicians can now also be seen on albums. The visually striking feature of the band is the use of silhouette motifs and partly hand-made paper cuttings on the same green background, which is anchored in the overall concept as a recurring element of all artworks .
In March 2012, Doomed released their first album The Ancient Path , which was very well received in the underground . After only six more months, Laube completed the second album In My Own Abyss . In August 2012, a recording contract was signed with the Russian independent label Solitude Productions and the album was then released in December of the same year. In January 2013 there was a limited, remastered re-release of the album The Ancient Path in a digipak with new artwork.
The first concert took place at the Dutch Doom Days XII 2013 in the Baroeg in Rotterdam .
