The double leaf mosses ( Diplophyllum ) are a genus of liverwort from the Scapaniaceae family .

features

These are small to medium-sized mosses with prostrate stems and bilobed (name), keeled leaves. The tongue-shaped lower leaf lobes are aligned approximately at right angles to the stem and two to four times as long as the upper lobes. Perianthia are slightly flattened, folded in the upper part and have a ciliate to dentate mouth.
