Flurstedt village church
The evangelical village church Flurstedt is located in the district of Flurstedt in the middle of the village on an elevated point in the Ilmaue north of the road 1060 in the city of Bad Sulza in the Weimarer Land district in Thuringia .
history
This church was built in 1795 on the initiative of Baron Carl Friedrich von Lyncker , owner of the manor and contemporary of Goethe . The altar is decorated with the sculptures Faith, Love, Hope and Humility by the Weimar court sculptor Martin Gottlieb Klauer .
The building was in danger of collapsing until 1990 and is now secured again. The construction measures were: roof and sponge renovation as well as plastering work outside and inside. A thorough renovation took place.
