Flurstedt is a district of the rural community of town Bad Sulza in the northeast of the district Weimar country .

location

The village of Flurstedt is located in the Ilm Valley between Apolda and Bad Sulza . The Weimar-Naumburg railway passes south of the village . Located on the southern edge of the Thuringian Basin , the village has very good arable soils in the Ilmaue as well as in the other locations, which are loosened up with green erosion channels. The provincial road 1060 coming from Apolda leads to Bad Sulza through the village.

history

In a document from the year 1052, Emperor Heinrich II granted jurisdiction over "Flogerstette" to the cathedral chapter of Naumburg. Later the name of the place changed via Vlorstete, Floristete and Vlurstete to its current form. The place belonged to the Ernestine Office Dornburg founded in the 14th century . From the beginning of the 19th century, the place was part of the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach , which incorporated it into the Roßla office and in 1850 the Weimar II administrative district ( Apolda administrative district ). Since 1920 Flurstedt belonged to the state of Thuringia and with this became part of the Soviet occupation zone and the GDR after 1945 . Since 1990 the place belongs to the newly founded state of Thuringia.

On December 31, 2012, the municipality of Flurstedt was incorporated into the city of Bad Sulza together with other municipalities.
