Ködderitzsch is a district of the rural community of town Bad Sulza in the northeast of the county Weimar area . The place with 117 inhabitants is east of Bad Sulza and about 10 km northwest of Apolda , between the district Gebstedt and the community Rannstedt .

history

A first documentary mention is currently not yet verifiable. What is known, however, is the development of the place name from Codirs in 1247 via Kodirtz (1337) to Kodertsch in 1341 to today's Ködderitzsch.

Ködderitzsch formed with the corridor of Rannstedt an exclave of the Eckartsberga district belonging to the Electorate of Saxony . Through the resolutions of the Congress of Vienna in 1815, the exclave came to the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach . It was affiliated with the Roßla office. During the administrative reform of the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach, Ködderitzsch came to the administrative district of Weimar II and legally to the Buttstädt judicial office in 1850 . In 1920 the place came to the state of Thuringia.

At the turn of the century, Ködderitzsch had 165 inhabitants. The place had the highest population in 1947, when more than a hundred refugees moved in.

The fulfilling municipality for Ködderitzsch was the city of Bad Sulza until its dissolution on January 1, 2019 .
