The Protestant village church Groß Schauen is a half-timbered church in Groß Schauen , a district of the town of Storkow (Mark) in the Oder-Spree district in Brandenburg .

history

The sacred building was built in the first half of the 18th century on the village green of Groß Schauen. 1822 added parish in the western part of the building to a bell tower and had a loft and a pulpit altar installed. During the First World War , one of the two bells had to be given up and was lost. The structure was renovated in 2007 and 2008.

View of the interior

The church was built from half-timbering with dark wooden beams and a compartment made of clay . The latter is painted white. On the south side of the nave there are two raised and large rectangular windows in the eastern area, which are supplemented by two further, much smaller windows in the western area. There the church can be entered through a rectangular, wooden door with a canopy. Two more raised windows of the same construction can also be found on the east wall of the nave. A rectangular extension can be seen on the north wall of the nave, which was built at a later date and partially covers one of the raised windows. Two more, smaller windows were placed in the compartment to the west. The bell house, boarded up with dark wood, is attached to this construction with a bell. It is slightly drawn in so that further parts of the framework protrude from the western gable. The gable roof of the nave and the tower are covered with a red beaver tail .

Furnishing

The simple furnishings come from the time the church was built.
