The village church Großbockedra is in the community Großbockedra in the Saale-Holzland-Kreis in Thuringia . It belongs to the regional parish Tälerdörfer in the Eisenberg parish of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The hall church with an eastern roof tower , which stands in the center of the village, was built in 1760.

The church tower suffered major damage from the effects of war and weather , which could only be removed in 2008.

In the interior there are three-sided two-storey galleries . The organ was installed by Louis Poppe from Roda in 1824. The pulpit altar has been in the nave since 1882 . In 1725 the baptismal font and the baptismal angel were set up in the front of the church. You have been accepted into this church. The organ's prospect pipes were melted down for the First World War . In 1929 the bells and the prospect whistles could be replaced again.
