Henfstädt village church
The listed Evangelical Lutheran village church in Henfstädt is located in the municipality of Henfstädt in the Hildburghausen district in Thuringia .
history
The village church was first mentioned in a document in 1544. Windows with pointed and round arches indicate an early Gothic construction period, a construction date is not known.
architecture
The church was built entirely of stones. On the eastern tower with the choir room in the basement concludes with the triumphal arch , the nave of. The sacristy is on the north side . The stone altar is well preserved. The choir room ( cross vault ) is a kind of sacristy and separated from the main house by a glass window.
The church houses an organ from the workshop of Johann Valentin Nößler from 1747, which was restored in 2009 by Orgelbau Waltershausen . It is single manual with a pedal and has 11 registers.
