The Möckern village church is located in the municipality of Möckern in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia .

It is located in the center of the village and on an elevated location.

history

In 1668 the single-nave church was built. It is a branch church of the village church Mörsdorf .

To the tower

The tall slate- faced choir tower with a curved dome and lantern dates from 1769/70.

Interior of the ship

The nave has three-sided galleries that are two-storeyed alongside. The pulpit altar is free-standing. The cove ceiling connects the choir and nave . The color design took place in 1987/88.

The organ was created in 1821 by master organ builder Christian Friedrich Poppe the Elder. Ä. .

The bells were cast in Apolda in 1781 .
