history
After the villages of Pohlitz and Raasdorf had become an independent parish area at the beginning of 1892, plans were made to build their own church with a rectory. Only with financial support from Prince Heinrich XXII. from Reuss to Greiz one could go to the construction work. The village church was completed in 1894 according to a design by the renowned architect Oskar Mothes in the neo-Romanesque style. The church is laid out in a cross shape on the outside, and the inside is a splendid central building .
After the installation of a new heating system in 2007, extensive renovation of the building is currently underway, which should be completed by 2019.
