The Protestant village church Prießnitz is located in Prießnitz , a district of the city of Naumburg (Saale) in the Burgenland district in Saxony-Anhalt . It is a listed building and is registered with registration number 094 83715 in the state's monument register.

The church is surrounded by a high wall with a round arched gate. The west tower of the hall church has a tail hood with a lantern. The choir of the building dates from the second quarter of the 15th century and has tracery windows and mask consoles under the groin vault in the eastern part . After a fire in 1705, the building was made Baroque . An inscription from 1748 in the tower indicates that it was raised during this period.

Interior and equipment

The ship has a field ceiling and a two-storey horseshoe gallery, which is decorated with rocailles paintings. The pulpit altar with vine columns dates from the first quarter of the 18th century. Over its side doors are Peter and John the Evangelist, in the upper part you can see angels next to God's eye in the wreath of clouds. On the east wall of the chancel there are remains of a late Gothic painting.
