The church

The Seifartsdorf village church is located in the Seifartsdorf community in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia . It belongs to the parish (parish area) Crossen in the church district Eisenberg of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

history

The small Romanesque single-nave church in the south of the village was built in 1250. The former triumphal arch was built with the apse and the transverse entrance.

The portal was moved to the west side in 1803 and the font was walled in. This was set up again in 1930.

The post-medieval tower top made of half-timbered construction was massively renewed in 1870.

The house has three-sided galleries .

organ

The organ was installed by the Poppe company from Roda in 1823.
