The village church Weißbach is located in the municipality Weißbach in the Saale-Holzland-Kreis in Thuringia . It belongs to the regional parish Tälerdörfer in the Eisenberg parish of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The village church is in the center of the village.

history

The exact date when the church was built is not known. The type of window suggests that it was built around 1230. In 1698 the nave was expanded and rebuilt. The church tower was completed at the end of the 18th century. The current shape goes back to the renovation in 1878.

Furnishing

The pulpit altar is the focus. It is flanked by church stalls from the early 19th century. The baroque painting on the stands once adorned a Lutheran confessional . The organ , which Karl-Heinrich-Poppe created between 1824 and 1835, is located on the gallery .
