The Evangelical Lutheran village church Wittchendorf is located in the Wittchendorf district of the municipality of Langenwetzendorf in the Greiz district in Thuringia .

history

The first Catholic chapel was built in Wittchendorf in 1518 . The Protestant village church was built by the Wittchendorfer in 1609 on the site of the deserted former Catholic chapel. Because the church and parish in Teichwitz burned down in 1687, the documents archived there were also lost. That is why so little can be reported from the past. 439 years of membership in the Teichwitz parish ended in 1997 because the parish office was closed. You came to Tschirma via Steinsdorf .
