Zaschwitz village church

The Protestant village church of Zaschwitz is a listed church in the Zaschwitz district of the Wettin town of Wettin-Löbejün in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments it is listed as a monument under registration number 094 55391 .

The patronage of the church is no longer known. The church has no steeple and the roof turret was demolished due to the dilapidation. The inscription above the south portal is no longer legible. The north side of the baroque building is dated to the first half of the 18th century and is now heavily overgrown.

War memorial

The war memorial for the three fallen soldiers of the First World War is located in the church's cemetery . It is a tombstone that is crowned by an iron cross . The inscription is barely legible. It reads Here in God rests our father, son and brother , a name follows and continues. He died for the fatherland with his brothers . The memorial was probably donated by the Sieb family.
