Doris Leifermann

Doris Leifermann (born January 11, 1952 in Hamburg ) is a former German rower who was third in the 1975 World Cup.

Athletic career

The double scull from the Hamburg Rowing Club from 1925 with Kerstin Schwonberg, Frauke Thomsen, Karin Gondolatsch , Doris Leifermann and helmsman Sabine Grönwoldt won the title at the German championships in 1972 and took third place in 1973. In 1974 and 1975 Gondolatsch and Leifermann won the two without a helmsman , in 1977 they took second place. Leifermann and Gondolatsch also belonged to the four with a helmsman who became German champions in 1974, 1975 and 1977 with alternating occupations in 1974, 1975 and 1977 and took second place in 1976.

At the 1974 World Championships in Lucerne , women's competitions were held for the first time. Doris Leifermann took sixth place in the two without a helmsman. At the 1975 World Championships in Nottingham , the four-man team with helmsman Thea Einöder , Edith Eckbauer , Doris Leifermann and Karin Gondolatsch with helmsman Susanne Thienel won the bronze medal behind the boats from the GDR and Bulgaria. In 1976 Doris Leifermann was nominated as a substitute rower for the Olympic Games in Montreal , but was not used. At the 1977 World Championships in Amsterdam , Gondolatsch and Leifermann competed together with Eva Dick , Ursula Decker and taxwoman Angela Braasch-Eggert in a four with taxwoman and took sixth place as winners of the B final.
