Doris Nordmann (born December 28, 1954 in Hanover ) is a German architect , tax officer and political officer . Since November 22, 2017, she has been State Secretary in the Lower Saxony Ministry of Finance .

Life

After graduating from high school (1973), she began studying architecture at the University of Hanover , which she completed from 1973 to 1978. As a result, she was employed as an architect in an architectural office before starting a structural traineeship with the Hanover district government in 1982. After graduation, Nordmann became a department head at the Hanover district government in 1984. In 1986 the architect moved to the State Building Authority Hanover 1, where she worked as a construction group manager until 1991, before becoming a consultant for university construction at the Hanover Regional Finance Directorate.

Between 1998 and 2001, Nordmann was the construction director in the Lower Saxony Ministry of Finance, and from 2001 to 2004 she was the financial president of the state construction department at the regional tax office in Hanover. In 2004 she returned to the Lower Saxony Ministry of Finance, where she initially worked as head of department 2 until 2011, and subsequently as head of department 4.

On November 22, 2017, Doris Nordmann was appointed State Secretary in the Lower Saxony Ministry of Finance by Minister Reinhold Hilbers as part of the formation of the Weil II cabinet . This made her the successor to Frank Doods .

Nordmann is married for the second time and has two children of his own and two stepchildren.
