Frank Doods
Frank Doods (born November 15, 1961 in Holzminden ) is a German administrative lawyer , ministerial official and politician ( SPD ). He has been State Secretary in the Lower Saxony Ministry for the Environment, Energy, Building and Climate Protection since 2017 and was previously State Secretary in the Lower Saxony Ministry of Finance from 2013 to 2017 .
Life
Doods attended the high school for boys in Holzminden from 1972 to 1982 . From 1982 to 1983 he did community service . He then studied law at the universities of Bielefeld and Göttingen until 1990 . At the turn of 1992/93 he briefly studied at the University of Administrative Sciences Speyer . In October 1993 he passed the second state examination in law.
Doods joined the Lower Saxony tax administration at the end of 1993 and worked for the Göttingen tax office until the end of 1994. He then moved to the Lower Saxony Ministry of Finance, where he worked as a personal advisor to Finance Ministers Hinrich Swieter and Willi Waike until May 1997 . From May 1997 to February 2013 he worked as a consultant and head of department in the Lower Saxony Ministry of Finance, among other things as head of the general budget department and as head of the department for savings bank supervision, public-law credit institutions and insurance companies, sureties, guarantees and other warranties.
Doods has been a member of the SPD since 1980. From 2001 to 2013 he was councilor and alderman of the municipality of Kreiensen and has been councilor - since November 2016 also council chairman - of the new city of Einbeck since January 2013 . Since 2010 he has been a member of the supervisory board of Gandersheimer Domfestspiele gGmbH.
On February 19, 2013, Doods was appointed State Secretary in the Lower Saxony Ministry of Finance by the Lower Saxony state government. On November 22, 2017, he moved to the Lower Saxony Ministry for the Environment, Energy, Building and Climate Protection as State Secretary.
Frank Doods lives in Kreiensen. He has been married since 1991 and has two sons.
